‘Deacy Amp’ Style Stickers
The finishing touches to your Deacy-style amp build, these are replicas of the stickers currently found on the original Deacy.
The white stickers are made using the same model of label maker used by Greg Fryer in 1998, when they were added to the original amp. This means they include all the idiosyncracies of the original labels with their odd letter alignment and kerning. Printed on genuine black-on-white Dymo label material.
The ‘S/N 077’ label was added to the back of the Deacy many years ago by Pete Cornish, and this replica is made with genuine NOS matt black Dymo tape.

Recreation TCC ‘Metalmite’ Capacitors
Almost impossible to find these days, the original Red Special used a TCC ‘Metalmite’ CP33N paper-in-oil as its tone capacitor. Nominally .022uF, the one in the original guitar has drifted much closer to .033uF over the years.
Therefore, I recreated these capacitors using an aluminium shell, with a modern polyester .033uF (or .022uF) capacitor inside, and rubber bungs to seal the end. This results in a cosmetic replica for those who want the look of the original but the stability of a modern capacitor.

Hybrid Switch Set
The original Red Special used Jean-Renaud switches, which are another thing which are virtually impossible to find these days. Most people currently tend to use Switchcraft switches in their builds.
These switches are the “best of both worlds”, utilising a Switchcraft 11A1255X switch – used by many on modern Red Special replicas – with 3D printed actuators with the top shaft of the same design and dimensions as the Jean-Renaud originals, to give that authentic look through the pickguard.
NOTE: As the shafts are smaller and shorter than the Switchcraft original, the switches must be fitted onto the top of the switchplate to reach through the pickguard holes. You may also need to either modify your existing pickguard or make a new one with smaller switch holes

Hybrid Switch Actuators
As used in the fully assembled switches above.
If you already have a set of Switchcraft switches, and are happy to do the work yourself, then the 3D printed plastic actuators are available in sets of 6 for you to swap over yourself.
These are specifically designed to fit the Switchcraft switches with the part number 11A1255X, although they may fit other models.
