The construction and appearance of the finished pickups will depend on the period chosen.
The appearance is created based on large numbers of reference photographs from each relevant era, together with reference to published material for the 10s era, and personal inspection of the original Red Special guitar for the 2024 era, at the Red Special Meetup in October of that year.
As each set is hand-made to order, there will be slight differences between each pickup,and therefore every set of Time-Warp pickups will be unique.
Specifications:

Cosmetic changes and some construction elements will differ depending on the era chosen.
Coils:
– 44AWG plain enamel copper wite coils
– Red centre-lined cotton wrapping
– Laquered and shaped coils
Magnets:
– Custom-made C1 Ceramic magnets
– Gauss-adjusted to closely match the original values
Bridge pickup:
– Coated in genuine Araldite® epoxy resin providing a form of potting to reduce microphonics and stablise the coil in the base
Neck Pickup:
– Coil & magnet encased separately in Araldite® as per the original
– Separate steel legs affixed inside the cover
Bases:
– Custom-made mild steel (Bridge & Middle)
– 60’s style with ‘rivet holes’ & short legs
– Leg screw holes drilled larger to match the modified original bases
Covers:
– Custom-made chromed brass
– 60’s style with period-accurate-sized holes
Middle pickup:
– Wrap of period-accurate small-weave gaffer tape applied
– No epoxy potting
